Standards of Social Responsibility and Labor Standards
The Right Thing to Do.
The Sierra Pacific Apparel Group believes in conducting business according to the highest possible ethical standards. As a result of this, we have created a list of our Standards of Social Responsibility and Labor Standards, which all of our employees, and vendors, must follow.
Child Labor: Suppliers shall not employ any person under the age of 14 years, unless local minimum age law stipulates a higher age for work or mandatory schooling, in which case the higher age will apply.
Forced Labor: Suppliers shall not use forced or other compulsory labor in the manufacture of products. Suppliers shall not require employees to lodge “deposits” or identity papers upon commencing employment with the company.
Working Hours: Suppliers shall comply with applicable local laws on working hours.
Compensation and Benefits: Suppliers shall ensure that wages paid for a standard workweek are consistent with local/national laws.
Disciplinary Practice: Suppliers shall not engage in or support the use of corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, or verbal abuse.
Freedom of Association & Right to Collective Bargaining: Suppliers shall respect the right of all employees to form and join trade unions of their choice, consistent with prevailing local/national law and to bargain collectively, without any activity that impedes or suppresses freedom of association. Suppliers shall ensure that representatives of such employees are not subject to discrimination and such representatives have access to their members in the workplace.
Discrimination: Suppliers shall be consistent with local laws regarding discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, caste, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, maternity status, union membership, or political affiliation.
Safe and Healthy Workplace: Suppliers shall provide their employees with a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with local laws.
A copy of these standards, translated in the language(s) of the workers shall be posted in a location visible to all employees at all production facilities that manufacture goods and merchandise for Scope Imports, Inc.

This act, enacted by Congress in 2008 sets forth the requirements designed to ensure that, among other things, certain goods are sold to consumers are certified compliant by the testing requirements set forth by this legislation.
This legislation applies to all consumer products (including our textile wearables) manufactured on and after November 2008. Not only does this affect the blank products that we sell, but it may, in turn, affect the decorated products you may sell to your customers.
We follow all of the standards set forth by CPSIA, including but not limited to the formal compliance certification on flammability, as well as testing for phthalates and hazardous chemicals.
We guarantee that our products are tested and certified compliant by a third party testing facility.

Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
The Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary program led by the U.S. Customs and Border Control (CBP), and is a partnership between companies and CBP to ensure the security of their supply chains. Companies who achieve C-TPAT certification must have a documented process for determining and alleviating risk throughout their international supply chain. C-TPAT is necessary to ensure that a companies’ supply chain is compliant, and efficient. It also helps strengthen border control.
Our parent company, Scope Imports, was one of the first members of C-TPAT, and was certified in 2003 for Level 1 C-PTAT Validation. In 2010, we achieved Level 2 Validation. This validation covers our entire supply chain, including our factories, freight forwarders, and customs brokers. This also further certifies our security practices. For your reference, our C-TPAT Status Verification Interface Number (SVI) is #33853046. We are extremely proud to be a part of this important, voluntary program.
Proposition 65 (“Prop 65”) or the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 was created with the intention to protect California citizens and the State’s drinking water from a State determined list of over 900 chemicals that are “known” by the State to cause cancer, reproductive harm or birth defects. The Sierra Pacific Apparel Group takes the safety regarding our products very seriously and we are committed to providing products that meet applicable federal safety and warning requirements, standards and regulations as enforced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, as well as adhering to the stringent requirements set forth by CPSIA.
Based upon the Sierra Pacific Apparel Group’s knowledge of our business operations and chemicals used, none of the chemicals listed by the State of California Environment Protection Agency are used in our products in a form regulated under the California Proposition 65.
